If olive oil is the main product in the backcountry, one must not forget that Liguria, an actually small region, has a really long coastline, which is one of the longest in Italy!
Many fishermen live here, and they bring fresh fish to local restaurants and taverns, to always have quality fresh fish.
You can try the famous fish-fry or the onegliesi king prawn, or you can ask, each time, about the day's fresh fish, which changes by the season.
